Q1: Do I need to pay any money to register for the Hackathon?

No, you do not have to pay for anything. Participation is completely free of cost.

Q2: How many members in a team?

A team can have a maximum of 4 members.

Q3: Do I need to have any specific qualifications to be a participant for the Hackathon?

If you’re enthusiastic about coding, you’re more than welcome to take part in this open hackathon.

Q4: How do I submit what I have made for the Hackathon?

Submit a brief description of your idea on HackerEarth and upload a PDF/PPT of your idea to make it more presentable.

Q5. Since this is an online event, which platform will be used for presentation purpose?

For both the rounds of the second phase, DISCORD application will be used.

Q6: Do we need to have the entire idea fully working?

It is not necessary for your idea to be fully functional. However, you should have a prototype which simulates the working of your idea, so that it can be reviewed by the judges.

Q7: Does one have to be online and available for the entire duration of the Hackathon?

No, one does not need to be logged in on HackerEarth for the entire duration. You can submit the idea description on HackerEarth on the specific challenge page. If shortlisted, you can start developing your application for the hackathon and present it to the judges in the first round of the Hackathon phase. If shortlisted further, you will get an opportunity to present your further progress on the final day i.e. 21st February 2021.

Q8: Since there is no specific technology mentioned, are there any restrictions on using a number of pre-built libraries?

There is no restriction to use any language, technology stack, or libraries. You can use any of them to execute your idea.

Q9: Do I need to give a demo for the product that I have built?

For the ideation round, you have to submit only the idea. However, if selected for the hackathon round, you will have to give a demo to the judges.

Q10: If it is a team submission, does that mean all team members will have access to work at the same time?

Yes, all team members can log in from their account and any one of the team members can submit the idea on HackerEarth, but only the leader can add or delete a member to/from the team.

Q11: What is the last date of idea submission?

The last date of idea submission is 6th February at 11:59 p.m IST.
